Make sure you have all necessary materials for your Ant FarmŽ, including sand and instructions. You will not need to set up your Ant FarmŽ until your ants arrive. Tadpoles: Make sure you have bottled spring water (room temperature) on hand. You will not need to set up the frog habitat until your tadpole arrives. Shipments containing live creatures must be opened immediately upon receipt. If you are a teacher and your orders arrive at a warehouse, make arrangements to have your live shipment delivered immediately. We cannot be responsible for live shipments that are left unattended. _______________________________________________________________________________ We make every effort to ship your creatures within 4 weeks of receipt of your online order. Shipment may be delayed due to weather conditions in your area (see below). Priority mail ship times are determined from the date the item is shipped, not from the order date. If you have an outdoor mailbox that is exposed to extreme heat or cold, please arrange with your postman to have your shipment of live creatures placed in a covered area near your front door. Bring it inside as soon as possible. It is safest to have the shipment sent to an address where it will be delivered indoors or to a post office box. All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, which takes 3-5 business days to arrive once the order has shipped. UPS 2-Day or Next Day shipping is available at an additional fee. Please call our service line(888-742-2484) to request special shipping. All shipping charges are non-refundable UMI is not responsible for reimbursing costs associated with shipping should an incorrect address be provided by the customer. Should you place an order in error, and we ship it, UMI is not responsible for reimbursment. Please note that we ship from two different locations, depending on what you order. This means that if you order multiple items, they may not all arrive in the same package. This also means that if you order one or more different creatures to ship, the shipping charge will be more. you must place a seperate order for each different address. Ant orders usually ship within 2-4 weeks. Tadpole orders usually ship within 3-6 weeks, depending on weather and if tadpoles are available. Toy Parts and other orders ship every week. For this reason we may restrict shipping at certain times of the year due to unsafe weather conditions. If you have already placed an order and the weather becomes unsuitable for shipment, we will send you an email notification of the delay and hold the order. Your credit card will be charged when you place your order, and your order may be held if the weather does not permit safe shipment. We accept purchase orders by mail or fax only. Phone or online purchase orders are not accepted. Purchase orders must be printed on school letterhead and signed by a billing authorization official. Purchase order must be a minimum of $50.
